There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Better speakers, do they work?

I know a few of you upgraded your speakers and I read Lamonsters thread on how he changed his out but it sounds like no one found any great difference. What is you thought about this now? I understand an amp would help but without going there, is the speaker change worth it?

Thanks

I think that J&M (?) makes upgraded speakers that bolt right in... The fellow I know who put them in is as happy as a clam in wet sand...

I had changed mine out for Marine type Speakers - Front only - Concerned ref weather protection
Found the sound distorted once above Half Volume
Was going to change back to the Stock OEM Ones as they at least did give a better sound at a higher volume
But came across the J&M Audio upgrade Speakers for the Spyder RT

Order them a few weeks ago and fitted them - Very impressed with the quality and the Sound esp at the Higher volumes (Needed if using
Speakers on the Highway)
I fitted a complete set and are very happy with them
I have also fitted a Bluetooth transmitter which allows me to switch the Speakers off and direct the sound to my Sena SMH10 Headset

Having looked at varouis audio systems J&M do have a great deal of experience in the Motorcycle Audio field - It was for this reason I went
with them

Funny you asked:
I switched out my OEMs for Polk Audio speakers around a year ago. Several months back I started having issues with the rears not having any volume. I just disassembled last night and found that both rears are blown (hopefully still under warranty). I am having to temporarily (maybe permanently) put my original OEM rear speakers back in.
When I first put the speakers in I could tell a difference based on how high I could put the volume before getting distortion and a little cleaner sound. I now think that the fronts are probably worth replacing, probably where I was hearing the most difference, but the rears I don't think that there is that big of a benefit. While working on my bike last night playing with the Polks trying to get them to work and putting my OEMs back in I feel that because it is such a small speaker and they are facing into the wind you are just not going to see a big improvement over the OEMs.
I may look for other alternatives for the rears, but for now I may just stick with the OEMs unless I can get the Polks replaced for free.

I am interested in hearing more about the J&Ms, maybe that is the way to go.
