• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

best way to move a spyder?

The Premier Edition Spyders were the first 3900 Spyders (late 2007 / early 2008) built for sale or dealer demos and the only difference is in the Spyder Premier Edition inserts in the handlebar cover. Standard Spyders don't have anything in the handlebar cover where the PE inserts would fit. That is the only difference in those Spyders and the standard Spyders. Also, all Premier Edition Spyders are SM5 models only as the SE5 didn't come out until summer of 2008.

Say it ain't so Joe! :lecturef_smilie:

The PE's are special in every way! They are just special, that's all!!!

And if you take the PE sticker off (like Lamont did to his) then it's not SPECIAL anymore! :roflblack:

Wrap your Spyder

We bought ours in Colorado and had to get it back home to Phoenix, AZ. We had no experience riding back then, so we used a flat bed trailer. The solution we used to protect the Spyder was to wrap it in commercial-grade pallette wrap. It's the stuff warehouse guys use and a full roll is about $50 (enough to wrap several Spyders and all your kids).

The Spyder arrived in showroom-perfect condition, despite wind, rain, and even an unexpected hail storm.

Wrap it, and keep it looking new... unless you just decide to ride it home.

That is brilliant! Sadly neither of my cars is big enough to tow a trailer. I'm optimistically hoping to make the road trip to the dealer on Friday. If that spyder isn't in my garage in the next week, i'm not sure I can stand it.
