• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Best vibration/motion detector alarm

What are the best alarm systems people have found to alert them of motion/vibration of their Spyders? I understand normal locking securing techniques. Thanks for any suggestions.

Do a search on Amazon for motorcycle lock with alarm. I just looked & there is quite a few on there. You might find some with pagers too. Good luck.

Ours is set sensitive enough that the shock of placing a helmet onto the seat will set it off.

A really LOT of people who have gotten motions sensor alarms are sorry that they did.......as there are too many false alarms.
Sometimes even a gust of wind will trigger an alarm.
Consider this carefully, especially if that feature can't be disabled and still let other alarm functions work.

Oh, and some people will say that the best theft alarm is a good insurance policy.
They might be right.

If they want the Spyder, gone in less than 60 seconds. Regardless.

That's pretty much the bottom line.

If you had an alarm, then you have to argue with the insurance company to pay for that too.

As far as drawing attention, when was the last time that you heard a car alarm go off in a parking lot and saw anybody who even gave it a passing glance ??
