There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.
I never thought about using knee pads to help when detailing my spyder! I also cleaned up my spyder today after winter storage and several rides this winter without a good cleaning! I will add your knee pads to my items next time! Thanks for sharing!
Strange, I see them on all my devices from this end, and drhunt saw the pic of the padded roofing knee pads I had to wear to get down on the ground and clean the wheels, and lower parts....
Just an ageism jokes, younger folks won't understand until they get old knees...<G>
I'll try reposting the pics but it was just a pic of the now cleaned bike after winter storage and my many years old construction / roofing padded (very padded) knee pads that strap on over your legs/ jeans.
Whats better than knee pads is when I replaced my roll around desk chair, I kept the old one to roll around my spyder. It swivels, drops down low too. Trick is always keep the spyder in neutral and clean the top half of the wheel, roll it back some and do the other half.
Shoot, I even had mine on car ramps and had to use the knee pads to get down on the exhaust and swing arm and what not, though I gotta admit, I even washed the undercarriage this time, so sitting on a chair would have compressed my custom extended middle section more than I would care to enjoy.... so padded, well padded, knee pads gets me down low.
Other lesson I learned for early MN spring cleaning is prewash your wash spot, there was an amazing amount of winter grit on my driveway.....
