Best floor lift for the RT

There are a few out there and harbor freight has good prices. They have a couple models . I have one similar that I got on sale at sears...

I Have a Harbor Freight Pittsburgh 1500 lb, like this advert has (now expired sale, but there's always more)

, works great, done oil changes, tire changes, took my frunk off, have left the bike up on it for over a week on some of my projects, fits under and no accessories needed out of the box.

Biggest bang for the buck is Harbor Freight. I have one and no issues with it. It is a little tight getting under the RT so I just run the front wheels up onto 2X10s before inserting the lift and all is good. Paid for itself the 1st time I used it.....

Can't go wrong with that Harbor Freight lift. Don't forget to pick up some jack stands while you're at it, best to be safe :thumbup:

I'd also suggest the Jack stand rubber caps they both provide a bit of a "grip" when used under the Spyder, and protect the finish too. I use 3 Ton Jack stands from HF. And their rubber caps. Watch for a sale and they're fairly inexpensive compared to other sources.

UtiCat, Ah, but he did start his post with "I really don’t want to spend a lot of money." My HF lift has lifted my Spyder high enough to change the sway bar, oil changes, Frunk Removal. Does it need to do more?

I use the J&S jack and love it. J&S makes a spyder adapter for it and I love the oil drain defector designed to go inside the jack assembly when elevated that directs the draining oil off the jack itself and into a drain pan.

I have an older HF lift and it doesn't fit under the Spyder. It's too tall. I have to lift the bike somehow before I can slide the HF lift underneath. The newer models that are popular here don't seem to have the same issue, so I'd make sure and measure before you buy.

With the J&S I have to ride the RT onto two 1" boards for the front to raise a tiny bit.

JMO but it appears that the Jack should be further under the Spyder. That looks as though the lifting is on the LH part of the Spyder and needs to go more to the right. (comments?)

I thought the same thing at first, Jack, but when you look closely, there are cutouts on the front bar to fit the frame. I assume that’s the adapter that Larry is referring to.

The spyder adapter that goes on top of the jack rails has a positioning block that fits into a recess on the spyder. This keeps the bike pretty level lifting
