BELT SPACING QUESTION

Hi guys I installed A smooth spyder belt tensioner and it is totally awesome.Took away all the bad vibes. I just went for a ride and now my bike has a 1/8 of an inch or 3.175 mm space off the inside of the rear sprocket. Question, is that too big of a gap. The manual says at least .05 mm. It used to be a little closer but I also had some serious vibrations. Now it rides really smooth thanks to Capt. Jim.

3.75mm a little wide, reason is your front sprocket has to have a little gap as well, put some chalk on the side of your belt see if it wears off then you will have a better idea if the gap is to big

????? The Spyder belt clearance spec is 1 mm (0.04" or about 1/32") to 5 mm (0.20" or about 3/16"). You are still within specs.

the range. I prefer to be on the closer side. Just watch the belt when backing up to see the movement to the outside...:thumbup:
