• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Belt roller

Good morning everyone. Lamonster has a new roller for the belt tensioner. Has anyone installed just the roller (not belt tensioner)?
I have an ‘18 RTL and get some vibrations at speeded over 65mph. Not sure if I should replace tensioner and roller or just the roller. Someone told me BRP improved the belt tensioner for 2018’s but it still has the tiny roller. I haven’t confirmed that, but just heard it. Roller looks easy to replace and the Lamont roller is clearly better than stock. Trying to replace all the subpar stock parts before it becomes a problem that requires dealer service.
Thank you, have a great week.
Jarred.

I don't know about Lamont's roller...
But if you get the one from Doc: it's nothing but the best "top-shelf" quality!

Thanks Bob. I’ve heard that name before but not familiar w his shop. What’s the name/website of his store? Thanks again.

There is actually nothing wrong with the BRP tensioner ARM when installed correctly. It's just the roller and bearings which Lamont's parts have corrected.

That’s what I was thinking JC. I watched the install video from Doc, and it looked like the RT he was working on had no belt tensioner at all. Mine has one but the roller is inferior compared to Lamont’s. Think I’ll call them before I order. Thanks everyone.

Jacob just confirmed that all I need for my machine is the new $50 roller. I’ve never dissected my Spyder before, this looks like a good “winters day” install. Along w the Magic Mirrors, may as well install those since I’ll have one mirror off already.
Thanks everyone. Have a great Thanksgiving!
