• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I've been gone from the board for the last week mostly because I had a little project turn into a big project.:gaah:
I decided it was time to get rid on my pool so I rented a jackhammer to break up the concrete around the pool.

That was slow going so then I decided I needed something bigger so I rented a trackhoe and started tearing up the place. Turns out the pool was really well made and it took longer than I thought to rip the sides down so I rented it for another day. I had my 78 year old father-in-law helping me with the project. He ran the tractor most of the time while I ran the trackhoe. This guy will work a teenager into the dirt. nojoke

The first day went great and I got most of it done but I still needed the trackhoe another day so I rented it one more day. I needed to fill the pool with something so I decided to use the trackhoe to run down the fence line we had and rip up all the root balls from the trees. That went well but I still needed more dirt so I decided to dig a pond that I've always wanted to do.

The trackhoe did a great job of compacting the dirt in the pool so I decided to rent it one more day to finish the job.

When I dug the pond I had to take down a couple of trees that were in the way. That was so fun that I decided to take down the whole tree line that was in the middle of my property. I left a few of the bigger trees but took out most of them. That turned out to be so much fun that I went ahead and rented the trackhoe for the week. :D

So now I have this thing for the week and all the projects I've been wanting to do came to life. I did too many things to list but I can tell you that this was as much fun as riding the Spyder to me. At the end of the day I would jump on the RS or RT and go for a little ride and plan out my next days work. Today I'll be heading for Daytona after getting some work done so I should be there Thursday to hookup with you guys. This thought I would share with you why I've been a little quiet around here for a few days.:doorag:

 I can see the new Website now...TrackhoeLovers.com. You are having too much fun. Don't forget to try not to smile too hard...all that dirt gets in your teeth.....gotta leave some room for the bugs when you ride. :roflblack:

Dude... You are really making me look bad. No more surfing spyderlovers for me with my wife in the room!:sour:

Heavy equipment, power tools and Spyders......... 3 of the things that bring a smile to guys ( and some girls) faces:D:D:D

Miss my days at the stable. I was the "official tractor driver" after one too many people pulled stall doors off while backing up the tractor in the isle. I loved getting to the barn early to get the tractor running.

Well, now you've got me remembering the old days. Nothing like the joy of looking forward to operating heaving equipment in the mornings!!!!

Digging up trees must have been a blast and a half!!

Guees at next years BBQ there will be a "Pond Jumping Contest." :D

I need to rent one of those things to and do some clearing at my house - lets see what can I get rid of... :roflblack:

Wow! What a week! And cool toys to play with! You are dangerous with them things!! W won't let me bring one home!

Where are we supposed to play Tennis next year? :roflblack:

Removed my pool last summer after a few years of non-use--- same basic idea-- tore everything out and filled in--- grass is easier to upkeep than a pool for sure!

Make sure and let your insurance company know you got rid of the pool too-- might save you some $$$ on your homeowners policy.

One project just leads to another for sure. At least you got to use some nice toys. I really miss the Bobcat that I had to sell when we left Wisconsin for Alaska. We just could not justify moving it up here. Everytime I take a ride out to the Butte, and see the farm impliment place, I get a strange longing for equipment toys. Do I need something to plow my driveway this winter? or is the big Honda track snowblower sufficient? Now I am in a quandry.
