• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Hi all", I have been having problems for a couple of months starting my Spyder up, and now that the weather is getting colder, the Spyder not start up on Thursday. I purchased a new battery and fitted it today. What a hard job to do, but thanks to Finless Bob on you tube and the job was explained by him in his video,

Thanks Bob
Regards Peter

Curious. ....

Did this fix the problem with the hard starting/ not starting..? if the battery was orignal to the ryde it did well...

:congrats: on the successful conclusion to all of this.
I have to admit to some confusion over your reference to the weather getting colder...
It made me look to confirm that you're on the OTHER half of the Planet! :D :joke:

If you just replaced the battery on a 2010 you did fine. We replaced the 2011 battery less than a month ago. Ours was not showing any issues yet, so tried to be a bit proactive there.

Hi mate", Yeah problem fixwed and screen does not go black anymore either. I think it is it's second battery because the OEM would be a Yuasa Battery but it had another type in it,

Tender on New Battery?

I just replaced the OEM battery on my 2012 RT. I'm pleased that it lasted this long! Now I'm wondering...should I put the battery tender on even though its a brand new battery? I had it on the old battery throughout the winter, and only had one problem starting it. So my question is: should I put the battery tender on a brand new battery?

Great news on he battery. I have a question is Peter the most popular man's name in Australia? It seems that all of the Aussies that post here are named Peter.
