• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I just read a thread on the same thing that happened to you, so you are not alone. Apparently, the negative side terminal has a nut on the back side. The poster ended up using a 10mm crow foot wrench to hold the bolt while tightening the terminal end. I hope I got this right and I'll try to find the thread.

I think there are several current threads about this. NEVER try to hook anything to the jumper terminals go directly to the battery.

Remove the battery cover, it has one screw a the back if you have already removed the left hand side panel. You can see the negative post there. Be sure to tighten the negative bolt you losened up, I took a cheap 10 mil wrench and gave it a bend. You can work out where to bend it by olding it on top of the bolt and measuring back to the opening to the back of it. All you need to do is to lock it down, the tightening is done from above. Most everyone that ever does their own wrenching makes the same mistake.

thanks

will try to see if I can find the terminal on my day off sunday as I,am not too good at disecting the bike to find the negitive terminal and worried I,ll short the bike and wont be able to use it ? but the bike must have a negitive terminal on it I would think

When I installed a plug adaptor for my gps I hook the pos wire to the pos termial of the batterywith a inline fuse. I grounded the neg wire under the seat latch. works fine
