• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Battery changing idea

This tip may be of use to people who have luggage racks that block battery removal. In my case it was a modified 3 bag Industries 7 rack. Part of the tubing passed directly in front of the battery, too close to allow removal. Removing the rack is time consuming, but I found an easier way. It turns out that the mount for the passenger peg is quickly temporarily removed ( 4 screws into threaded holes and an Allen headed bolt). The rack bolt under the seat was also removed. With this done, there is enough flexibility in the rack that it can be pulled over to the hand hold and tied to it with string. Then there is plenty of clearance to re and re the battery.
