• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Battery Again?

I guess that I'm kind of old-fashioned about these things...
Since your battery has to lay on it's side once it's installed: I prefer a pre-sealed battery.
But give it a night on the charger as soon as you can! :D

YTX24HL-BS and YTX24HL are the same battery. The BS extension means that the battery is bottle filled by the vendor or customer. Without the BS extension, the battery is factory filled. If prepared properly the BS battery is better because it will be the freshest. You would not know how long a factory filled battery could have been sitting on the shelf in partly discharged state, shortening its life.

Most problems blamed on the battery are not the battery's fault. Changing out the battery before really knowing what the real problem is will not fix things for long.

BATTERIES

My BS battery lasted only 6 months because the person that activated it, did not do it right.

It is 5 years old and better safe than sorry. I might also be selling it within a year so I would want the New owner NOT to have a problem.

I guess it comes down to the prep of either the factory/dealer or the vendor? A coin flip.
