Hey UPete, I guess reading all this stuff now is sorta like attending your own funeral to see what people REALLY think about you.... then just when it's getting all maudlin, clearing your throat loudly from up there in the back pews before announcing..... "Sorry guys, but the reports of my death was an exaggeration" (or should that be "..... was wildly optimistic"??) And on that note, are we to assume that normal programming will resume shortly, or was it all a sobering experience?! :chill: :shocked: :dontknow:

Hi Peter. You nailed it ... it has been a little bit surreal. But, not sobering so not to worry! I think maybe I have a greater appreciation for this community on the forum and feel more accepted. Is that maudlin enough? :joke:

Well I don't remember banning anyone so I checked. He's still listed as a registered user so I'm not sure where you got your info.
I have pulled post that were reported to me and there are several here that likes to push buttons and he is one of them. But I can tell you for a fact he has not been banned.

You have gotten my drawers twisted a few times, but that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy disagreeing with you.
I have a really good friend I ride with a fair amount who is a FLAMING LIBERAL/PROGRESSIVE and I think maybe a commie except that he is a self made millionaire contractor who despises republicans and we get along fine. Not sure where you fit into this picture.

I repeat; If we all agreed on every subject, our country would STAGNATE and DIE!

You have helped restore my faith and pride in our country's ability to ride out these occasional tempests of national discourse and episodes of dysfunction in DC. I'm ready to hit the road again in places I wouldn't have normally ventured in recent years to meet good Americans of all stripes.

Well, that was very strange. I haven't been able to access the website for the past two days, but now I can. Thanks to those of you who expressed concern and apologies to Lamont for thinking that he had banned me for some reason.

All's well that ends well I guess. Now I'm going back to read your posts on this thread and try to catch up on others.

I've missed you guys (and gals). I wish I could say I wasn't a little bummed thinking I was banished from the kingdom, but truthfully it felt like I had lost a very important social connection, one that wouldn't be easily replaced.

Okay, that was too serious. What can I say to screw this up and get Ron back to accusing me of being a pink-haired troll again?
