• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Baja Aron's Sway Bar Help

Typo....Ron not Aron...

I just received my new sway bar. I reviewed a video on the install and it shows replacement bolts for both ends of the sway bar that comes with the kit. I am installing this on a RSS 2011. The kit shows multiple bike applications, but no bolts were included. My question is are these bolt needed for the RSS application or do I just re-use the ones on the factory sway bar?

If I remember correctly I'm pretty sure I reused the bolts on my 12' RS. I also am still running the stock end links and have been known to be a fairly aggressive rider from time to time. No issues.
The end link was a bigger concern with some of the 13' models. Some models had a batch of bad links that needed updating if I remember correctly. I wouldn't sweat the 11' stock links until they get some age/wear on them.

Thanks Drew, I will give it a go installing this weekend. Yeah, I saw some info on the stock end links with questionable production codes. I think I'm good.

I used the stock end links on my '12 RS also. No issues. Reusing the bolts should be fine.

You can install the bar without removing the frunk but in my opinion removing the frunk is the easiest way to do it. The frunk comes off very easily and you have complete access to everything.

Suggestion..!!

I removed the frunk..pictures in my albums...and took advantage to grease the front end. The hiem joints are composite and work well but I changed them to metal...

The longer bolts are supplied when fitting an RT sway bar as the existing ones are a bees whisker short with the new fatter sway bar. Not needed on an RSs.

Wow! It's getting to where you guys know more about my stuff that I do! I don't even have to answer questions anymore! Very astute!

Lol, thanks Jerry, but just finished the install 20 minutes ago. I found a two part video install for a RT and that gave me enough info for the RSWas able to keep all Tupperware on and left the frunk on, just loosed the 4 bolts on top. Block of 2x4 gave me all the clearance I needed. My bar came assembled, no sticker and the instructions consisted of 4 pictures and two or three short paragraphs. Took 1.5 hours to do , mainly because I ramped it up 50 feet away from my tools. Took forever to find my two 13mm wrenches. The lock rings and grommets were already locked down in the exact place as the stock bar, so saved me from all the adjusting. So I guess I won't complain about the cool sticker missing.
