• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Bad Speaker - Warranty??

Recon

New member
Rear speaker is sounding like a bad boom box in a cage. I told dealer about it at 3000 miles and he said the bass was up too high ( mid way between high and low??) and he did nothing. Now it is much more frequent and much worse, but I have heard someone say that the dealer told them it was not under warranty. Any ideas???

Is it the right rear, if so I had the same trouble, fixed it myself. I took the speaker off and put weather strip foam, the stuff that is sticky on one side in places where the speaker housing touched where it is mounted. Sounded like the speaker was blown but it was really a vibration. Anyway as good as new now. It is a pain to get off but not to bad. Use the stuff about 3/8" thick. Hope this helps.

Check your warranty information that came with the Spyder. There'll likely be a section for the audio. If it's still in warranty, bring the documents in and show it to your dealer. If he still refuses to warranty it, find another dealer.

They havent told me it isnt under warranty, but i recall someone saying that they had been told that.
We'll see when they get my rear shock in if they say it's not under warranty. Thanks

Took it in to the dealer today, and he said it must be the music i listen to (country?) that was causing it to sound bad. He adjusted the fader more to the front speakers, but still sounded bad on the ryde home. I have to go back when he gets my new brake sensor in, so i'll remind him it is not right.
