• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Bad Spark Plug Boot

???? Just wondering is this becoming a common problem? Dealer had to change my plug wires out at 12K service - was told it had a bad plug wire and was a warranty fix.

Any others have this happen?

I'm thinking it might be.. Anyway I found out you just can't buy any set of plug wires.. The end that goes into the COIL are MALE ends,, the normal plug wire is FEMALE,, Also, original ends are both STRAIGHT,, most all plug wires have a 90 degree on one end or the other.. Looks as though I'm just gonna call cowtown and have them order a set of factory ones,, Are you hearing me Len??

Yes sir but I talk to you first just saw your post pal.....its all good to go man!!

Thanks to MO Lee the spyder is up and running just fine.. I had the opportunity to hang out with Mo Lee yesterday.. We ended up going to NAPA and buying a $1.34 boot for the spark plug wire... Worked like a CHARM!! I will try to explain.. First thing we did was CAREFULLY cut off the old boot with a RAZOR BLADE, then we slipped over two pieces of Shrink Wrap (Thanks for the tape Lee) onto the wire,, Greased up the inner portion of the boot with di-electric grease so that we could slip on the new boot,,After sliding on the boot we put a spark plug onto the new boot so that we could position the boot in the correct spot on the wire before we started SHRINK WRAPPING the wire,, after the wire was all put together we finished it up with a couple layers of electrical tape just where the boot meet the plug wire.... PERFECT.... Put new stock plugs in the bike, torqued to 168 assembled the Spyder and it ran like a dream,,, again PERFECT..
Thanks bunched Mo Lee for your help brother... Was a very easy fix and I would recommend this same type of action if you are thinking of repairing a damaged boot if in fact you either have one or in the future develop one.. Again, Thank you Mo Lee..
