• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New member
Just got the BRP Adjustable backrest part No 219400689. Instruction sheet pretty lame can anyone point the way to install video or other help??
Thanx for any input!!

Let's see....

better than a part number would be what year and model are we talking about....You can look here or on you tube or google it. I installed the oem rack and backrest a long time ago (RS) but don"t remember it being that hard and may still have the instructions....check the forums for your model....

Hdre's a picture of the bracket mounted in place... it's just four bolts...
(Actually: they're probably screws! :D)

You don't need to remove the seat; just raise it up! nojoke

Yep. I know that now. Somewhere I had heard that it was a much easier install to pull off the seat. Figured holes had to be drilled for that mounting bracket - imagine my surprise when I got that seat off and upside down on the workbench to see the holes already properly located, drilled and threaded and all ready for the bracket! Grrrrr. :banghead:

Oh, well, backrest on and looking good and I had some hands-on time with the new ride.
Thanks guys.
