• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Back up Whine... Breaks?

I know I've seen this post many many times but I can't seem to find an answer. My RS has a horrible whine when backing it up no matter if I'm pushing it with the engine off or if i'm in reverse. I have a two brother pipe that is fairly loud so at least that disguises the sound of dying water buffalo that it makes. I adjust the parking break a bit cause I thought that was it but that did absolutely nothing for me. Has there been a cure for this since I have seen that many experience the same thing.

Don't know..!!

your very handy Pablito, pull the caliper off check the pads for embedded debris and clean the disk. Check the pad pins for groveing. Good luck..!!

Doesn,t hurt to take the Caliper off when needed and clean the pads with Brake Cleaner and regrease needed area,s and install.
Mine makes a sound also and I think its the belt creaking because the next day I always push it forward at least 10 feet and I never hear a peep!

What I do sometimes is periodically (Every 6 Months) Jack up the rear -put blocks in front of front wheels for safety and put it in gear- The rear wheel should automatically move at a decent speed without you having to push it to get it started. Put brake on while you put it in neutral and then put it in reverse and you should notice the belt tracking to the outside of the sprocket !

I do this on my GS . The RT doesn,t make noise going backward YET?:roflblack:

I adjusted the parking brake thinking that was it but that didn't do much. Thanks for the advice I will yank it off clean it up and see what happens.

Backing up and whining

I have had the same problem for a little over a year now. Drey at Big #1 Motorsports, Birmingham, AL fixed the problem.
It has 3 points on the rear sprocket that need to be greased with silicone grease. Also make sure the belt is properly aligned.
Works great now. Just had this done this week.
