• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I did the back up camera actually a couple of them on a bike. The problem that you will find is that the reflection off everything makes it hard to see, I find you need a 7" monitor to see anything.

My recommendation on the Spyder is to put in a 30 amp line from the battery and then wire everything to it, off the grid so to speak.

I wear a Hi Viz jacket and scare myself every time I look at my GPS. 😂 Looking for a source of anti reflective film

So what type of cameras are recommended? And, I guess the 7 or 7.5 monitor would be better.

If the light wiring is basically the same as it is on the RT, which I don't see why it wouldn't be, you should be OK if the BU system load is only a very few amps. The tail light, plate light, and front running lights are on their own 15 amp circuit with no connection at all to Nanny. To be absolutely sure we need someone to look at the F3 wiring diagram to confirm this.

Unless the F3 is drastically different from the RT it is misconception that the lights are tied into the nanny. The turn signals are powered from the cluster but there is no impact on nanny that I've ever seen noted in the service manual.

BTW, if you don't a copy of an F3 service manual it would well worth the investment to get one. As good a place as any to get one is here: http://canammanuals.com/can-am-spyder-manual.htm. These are the same ones that are sold on eBay.

I went for a quick run through Amazon: is this the one that you were talking about?? :dontknow:

https://www.amazon.com/Monitor-Univ...23011_1_2?s=car&ie=UTF8&qid=1485818417&sr=1-2

It may not have a large display (4.3"), but it matches up nicely to the size of a Garmin 660's display. [emoji106]
(Besides... If something is bearing down on you FAST :yikes:: you won't need a big display to see it!)
Bw 2.4Gwireless...$9.82....esky ec135-05....camera....$19.99

Screen too big

Well there is some modification for the RT back up camera:

Part 2

I like this setup but I think the screen is too big. I have that same bracket on my cowl but already have a video camera mount in the middle and a 12v / USB adapter on the left. I was hoping to add a rearview monitor on the right. But seven inch screen will not fit.
