• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Back Trunk lid not latching.

Installed led lights up front and back. Now my latch does not lock down. Adjusted it a few times before wife and I went on ride. Then had to leave town for work. Looks like it lines up but not going down enough. Not hitting LEDS.? Anyone have this problem?

Most likely it is the small tab just above the center pull that opens the trunk lid. Easy to miss as it is very small, but if it is not tucked in correctly, the lid won't latch. This happened to me when I put an LED strip around the tupperware where the lid closes. Took me a while to figure it out, then I had to take it apart again to get the tab where it belongs. I should have paid better attention when I took it apart to install the LED strip.

Just out of curiosity, are you THAT dam guy?:roflblack:. Sorry, I just couldn't help myself!!!

Back to the topic at hand. My rear trunk has started binding to the point that it has to be slammed shut to latch and pryed open with your fingertips to get it to open. I haven't taken the time to look at it yet, so I'll be watching to see what comes of this. Good luck.

Yep!

Old guy is absolutely correct. Bend over and you'll see that the tab is sticking out.

After pulling off the rear tupperware I had the same problem. It takes finesse to get that piece back on exactly right. I'd loosen all the screws and lightly "punch" around, check the tabs, etc. while trying the latch over and over. Right around the pull tab "oval" area with the three pull levers can look OK but need to come through the plastic well to full seat the tupperware.

:D This one gets everybody eventually. My dealer even got tripped by it on my bike... As soon as I tried to close the lid: it was back in the shop, and a quick eight-screw teardown! :D
