I am needing a new back tire anyone have some ideas for one please let me know what tire is good in wet weather tire and some prices to! thenks Steve;)

A lot of riders are switching to car tires. BF Goodrich G Force or Kumho Ecsta, I personally like G Force. The care tires last a little longer and have better performance.
Good Luck

How about the OEM tire by BRP for $140 ?

Works great for me - should be able to get 10K off of the OEM rear tire --- give or take.

I have the TOYO T1R. Has all the good ratings and handles very well. You can find a lot of good info on this tire; I couldn't find any info on the stock tire except that it was made in China. The Toyo cost me about $125.

Another vote for the Goodrich G-Force. Got it from TireRack.com... dealer mounted it on the rim for $26.00... I had taken them only the wheel and tire.

I have the BF Goodrich gForce Sport which is doing just fine at about 15,500 miles. The tire is currently $83 plus freight on TireRack.com. I paid $74 to have it installed at my after-market Harley shop.

Anyone run the Toyo Proxes4 on a :f_spider: yet? Is it even possible?

I have been running them since maybe 2004 on all my cars and have loved them. I have bought 5 full sets to date and they are the only tire I run on my cars. There are few compromises and they are a really good all around tire.

The only time I really lost traction was on an icey road and I killed my Infiniti M45. When I got out of the car I could not even walk or stand on the surface, so can not blame the tires for that one.

Would feel comfortable with this class of tire and being prepared for most any road condition present. A pure summer tire seems illogical unless you are going to cover the :f_spider: for the winter.

Nitto NT 450 Extreme Performance

I have decided to go with a auto tire in the rear. Price is not the top issue, but I would like the best tire for wet traction. I occasionally had a problem getting traction on wet roads when accelerating.

I read good things here about the G force and Kumo, but what are your thoughts on the Nitto shown here? Do you think it would handle wet roads better then the G force? It seems like it would be able to channel water out better.

Nitto looks interesting

That Nitto show a 45000 mi warranty. Do you think that would apply on a Spyder? It also has a lower treadwear number with may mean it has softer rubber that will grip better. I'll be watching for some feedback on that one.

And also... the Kuhmo has a great nasty looking tread pattern for the rear of a Spyder! I'm glad I don't have to buy one for a while yet. :2thumbs:

Does it void your warranty when you change to a different tire? My dealer told me when I installed the Kewlmetal intake that I may have warranty issues..? And asking him about using a full synthetic oil... he said he wont use any other oil execept the BRP oil.... I wouldnt mind using other products, but my dealer warns against using other stuff than BRP....

BRP would have to prove your mods caused the problem and this is what a BRP rep told me on the phone. Your mods are commonly done and most people never have a problem with warranty work.

Nitto NT 450 was the last tire I bought before going to the Toyo Proxes 4. I had it on my wifes grand prix and all though it had good traction and nice tread pattern the sidewalls had a lot of flex and were scary squishy.

People would always flag us at intersections and parking lots to tell us the tires were flat and i always ran it at 37 psi cause the weak sidewall was scary. They were replaced before they wore out.

Don't like the idea of a piece of Chinese made rubber being the only thing between me and the road.
