• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Back rest

order?

So I go to the Road Krome website, like the looks of the backrests; there's no shopping cart, how do you BUY things from them? What am I missing?

I like the looks of them too, price is nice also.

All my local bike dealers here in Onartio Canada have RoadKrome catalogues to buy their products. I have sent RoadKrome an e-mail to see if they have dealers in the U.S. I will let you know their response as soon as I get an e-mail back. If they don't offer this product in the U.S. then maybe I will buy an extra set and see if it will sell on Ebay. If I can sell them then I will. :chat:

Okay, I ordered the RoadKrome backrest and mount today, from Cycle Outfitters in Greenwood, IN, should be here in about 10 days, I'll let you know when I get it.

Sounds great. Thanks for taking the plunge and experimenting for the rest of us.

:ohyea:I just recieved the RoadKrome backrest today from the local bike dealer..:2thumbs: I'm going out to install it. Pictures and thoughts to come soon.

:congrats: and thanks for the update. We will be waiting to hear your thoughts on it, and see your pictures as well.

I just got the rear rack (BRP) for 320.00 delivered on ebay today...not too shabby...figure I need it for a few things so this price looked right...

Well here it is. It took about an hour and a half to install. Looks good on the spyder. It only cost me $248. It's going to work fine for what we we were looking for.

Looks like a good fit, and the brackets appear sturdy enough as well. Have you had the opportunity to road test it yet?

I ordered the mount kit and backrest about 2 weeks ago; seems there was a rush on Roadkrome for Spyder stuff about the same time, can't imagine why:joke: so it'll be around April 11 before mine get delivered. I guess they weren't prepared for their popularity.

We seem to have a lot of Spyder Lovers that are having to exercise patience right now for one reason or another. Hopefully this will be worth the wait.
