• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Well after a year and a half of being Spyderless I'm happy to report that I'm within a day or two of getting my next ryde! This one'll be a yellow and black 08 GS and it's a real beaut.:yes:

So I'll be back on here more often now asking silly questions that only a guy with no mechanical ability would ask. This forum is priceless. Thanks to all of you in advance!

:congrats:
How did you find the new bike? Was it local, or did it require some "shopping by computer"?

I had been talking to my local dealer. Couldn't afford another new one but this came in on a trade. It's really a beautiful machine. I got it today and totally love it!

Glad to hear that it came from your dealer...
Even gladder to hear that you're digging the ride! :2thumbs:

Yeah when you're as mechanically challenged as I am I've found that the best thing to do is form a good relationship with your dealer and become a loyal customer. We've lived in three different states since I bought my first Spyder and I've always been able to find good dealers that I can trust. In Savannah I had to travel to Jacksonville Powersports in Florida but they were extremely good. In Southwest Florida it was a little more of a challenge finding a good dealer but Sunsports ended up being pretty good after they hired a bunch of new people in their service department. And back in Maine, Reynolds Powersports is very good. Good people that really know their stuff. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I'm doubly-glad to hear that you've been able to start digging out from whatever it was that happened... :congrats::thumbup:
And the best of Luck with what the future holds for you and yours.
