:agree: And JP58, cos the Spyders actually have passenger car bead profiles on their rims as well as some spare room under their fenders, you don't necessarily hafta stick to the OE size/brand for those reasons either!! Just make sure that whatever passenger car construction tire you choose actually
does fit & has higher or at least equal speed & load ratings (sorry, finding anything equal is almost impossible - I don't think anyone else makes them that low!!)
Bearing in mind that not all tires are exactly the same size, despite the nominal size shown on their sidewalls; there are Spyders out there running from as small as 205/65R15's up to 225/60R15's on the rear; & from 155/65R14's to 185/50R15's on the front. Personally, I'm running a 225/60R15 up the back & 175/60R15's up front, all Kumho Solus KH17's (non-directional all-weather touring tires for our long & hot roads here in Oz) that've got over 20,000 miles of waaaay better ride, handling, noise, & all round traction so far (great wet weather handling too, no hydro-planing whatsoever & they stick like the proverbial to a blanket !!) & they are still going strong, altho I'll probably change out the rear before 30k &/or next winter.
