There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Available tires?

Is there a site or page on here with all tires that will fit the Spyder RT. Front and rear. Thanks.

In general and without knowing your year of Spyder - 14 inch vs 15 inch fronts...

Either do a search for tires and get ready for some reading, or write down your OEM sizes and go to a tire shop or website and pick one that you like the look of and that is within a couple of sizes smaller and with an aspect ratio within a step or two of the OEM.

Then let others know what you think of the value/performance for the things that you want in a tire for your Spyder.

For example - the rear OEM 225/50R15 Kenda is matched in size by the Kumho 225/50R15, but has been reported to have twice the life of the Kenda. YMMV

Some like stickier/softer grippier tires, some go for maximum wear with less grip. Its up to you. Many run a 215/60R15 tire on the rear and have a better aggreement of Speedometer reading to actual speed since manufacturers leave some safety factor in their reported speed calibration.

Haven't heard many reports of tires within the 1-2 size variance that won't fit.

new front tires last month

I have a 2014 RTS-SE6 and I replaced the Kenda's with "Continental Contiprocontact" size: 165/60 R15 last month.

I got caught in a server thunder shower just recently ( the rain that was hitting me felt like pins/needles but I got home safe), the front tires had road contact, and I did not get any hydroplaning, the tires were pushing away the water. The speed I was going was 15 to 20 mph.

As I see it...

No one has put together a list of all the tires mentioned here. Would be nice, so guess you will have to search it out online, at the tire shop or from the responses here. I use Kenda and am trying out the Arachnid now. I know that is no help to you....good luck...

Actually I just bought a rear tire for my rt. Lots of info on here and even some lists. The lists are old and some tires you cannot get anymore. But there is a list.

I went with a uniroyal tiger paw 215/60/16 on my RT.

Reasons are because I couldn't find an oem size tire other than from can am for $250 cnd. Or ordering for eBay or Amazon which I didn't have time for.

Some say the 215/60/15 uniroyal rubbed on their rt.

Well I just did a 2000km trip. Just got back a couple hours ago.

With me and my wife. And all luggage loaded up. There was no rubbing at all.

Tire handled it great. As for wear it should last 30000km min. They are rated for 60000 plus. But that's on a car.

And it costed me $90 cnd so 70usd.

Anyway good luck with what you get.

I have a 15 RT-S SE6. I'm scoping out tires early before I need them. I have over 4000 miles now. So a 225/60r15 works for rear. I would like better mileage most. Good rain tire would be nice also. What size will clear the front fender. Other than Kenda's I cant find any in 165/55r15. Wish they put 16" tires on. A lot more choices.

Since you've got lots of tread life on the OEM: give it another couple of thousand miles worth of smiles, and then start reading all of the Ba-Zillion tire threads that are in here... :D
Everybody has their own favorite:
Toyo
Michelin
Kumho
Pirelli
General
Maxxis
Yokohama
Falken

The list just goes on and on... and on and on... and on...

Since I know for sure, that I've missed a whole bunch of the favorite brands of some of us: I'll apologize now... :D

:agree: And JP58, cos the Spyders actually have passenger car bead profiles on their rims as well as some spare room under their fenders, you don't necessarily hafta stick to the OE size/brand for those reasons either!! Just make sure that whatever passenger car construction tire you choose actually does fit & has higher or at least equal speed & load ratings (sorry, finding anything equal is almost impossible - I don't think anyone else makes them that low!!)

Bearing in mind that not all tires are exactly the same size, despite the nominal size shown on their sidewalls; there are Spyders out there running from as small as 205/65R15's up to 225/60R15's on the rear; & from 155/65R14's to 185/50R15's on the front. Personally, I'm running a 225/60R15 up the back & 175/60R15's up front, all Kumho Solus KH17's (non-directional all-weather touring tires for our long & hot roads here in Oz) that've got over 20,000 miles of waaaay better ride, handling, noise, & all round traction so far (great wet weather handling too, no hydro-planing whatsoever & they stick like the proverbial to a blanket !!) & they are still going strong, altho I'll probably change out the rear before 30k &/or next winter. ;)

175/55R15 ......

Hi, 175/55R15 does fit on both type of fenders. We do use the Kumho Solus HK 175/55R15 on our 3 2013 and younger Spyders. In the rear, we use 225/50R15 Kumho AST on 3 of them (Discount tire direct didn't question the order of 3 ;)) and one Toyo Proxie4 205/60R15. All is great. And those how claim the AST 225/55R15 is slippery in the rain..:lecturef_smilie:... so far, none of us 3 agrees with that comment... not any worse or better than the original Kenda.........

Hi, if anybody tried the Hankook Ventus V4 in the 175/55R15, I would like to get you impressions..... I love the tread look, and it is rated pretty similar to my Solus HK.....

Thanks in advance...

Where did you by them. That front size fit under the fender on the rt ok?

Yep, the 175/60R15 fits under the later model fenders on my 2013 RT Ltd fairly easily (see the pics - easily 10mm or so clearance) altho you do need to angle the tire/rim in under the fenders & lift the fender a little (it flexes more than enough) to get the rim onto the lugs. I did swap out the hex head bolts on the inside of the wheel arch/fender for shallow domed Phillips head screws - it gives you more clearance for if/when the tire flexes &/or you pick up mud etc on the tire!!

As to where I bought them, that probably won't help you too much, cos I got them from the local Bob Jane T-Mart here in Mt Barker, South Australia - which is pretty much as close to the other side of the world as you can get from Wisconsin!
