• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

It was a pain to get those to turn..... I KNOW from experience. You may try what I did, and use a straight razor and "trim" both sides of the little "wings" . Not too much!! Just about the width of the razor itself. Then I got them to turn the 1/4 turn they needed for locking in place. Hope this helps.:doorag:

Those light kits were begging for a cheap, simple tool to help do that "simple" quarter turn. Considering the price paid for them, it sure seems like that tool should have been included! I did the same thing - chamfered the edges of the wings to provide some opportunity for it to engage. Without a special tool or some slight trimming, those things are nearly impossible to install. I wrote a thread on this a year ago, if you can find it.

Search the forum. This has already been discussed. The "easy" solution is to take a socket and file two slots to fit the ears. The socket size and size/depth of slots is given in the thread.

OR

Return yours to the dealer and then wait about a week for Lamont's. They will be about half the cost, easy to install, and LED.

This is a simple job if you have the right tool. 3/8" OR 10mm deep socket I believe.
