August Contest Update

I was the August contest winner (I somehow ended up being the 1000th post in that last minute flurry) and received my CHAD yesterday. I wanted to thank Magic Man (ie. ESI/NMN) for his generosity. It's great to have a place like this to read about all the Spyder related stuff, good & bad, and to have a sponsor that supports and participates on the site make it all that much better. I installed the CHAD last night...it only took about 30 minutes...and went for a ride to try it out. It makes a huge difference over the stock windshield, even in the lowest position. When I raised it to about half way, it was kind of like being behind a barn door!!! Absolutely no wind on my chest or head. This is going to come in really handy on those 35-40 degree morning rides to work this fall. A funny side-effect is that I can hear the engine so much better now that there's no wind noise, it's making me want a new muffler even worse than I already did!!!

Once again...thanks and many kudos to Magic Man...you ROCK. The black/smoke CHAD looks really nice on my ride. I'll definitely be buying more products from ESI/NMN as soon as I can find a way to come up with some extra cash. And hopefully, there'll be more contests in the future?

Ok...I finally got some pics of the CHAD. First pic is old shield, second is CHAD in fully lowered position, last one is CHAD in full upright location. Sure is coming in handy this time of year in VT when the temps are in the 40s in the morning and in the mid-70s in the afternoon. Thanks again to Magic Man...
