• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I'm assuming that you've pressed "Mode", and moved to the Audio screen? (This is where you need to start, in order to change your inputs...)

Make sure none of the other buttons are stuck down. Especially the PTT button. Likely not but only takes a minute to check. Most likely the the left handlebar control needs to be changed out. So time to call the dealer.

Yup did the mode button. Can change fader or any other controls just the set button does nothing.Guess it,s back to the dealer.

I'm sorry, but I had to ask that...
We can't take anything for granted, when trying to sort stuff out over long distances... :D

I feel your pain. I was having similar problems, but fortunately, CapeSpyder got me sorted out. Here are some steps to follow, and hopefully it works for you...

First, when you navigate to the auxiliary screen does it show a picture of an unmade plug connection? If so, it's the correct window, and it means it's not reading the device (assume that's what your seeing).

Second, make sure you are using the port on the right side of the trunk (not the cigarette lighter one). I had to get an adapter to accept my iPhone (different pin configuration). It's designed for the older apple products.

Third, if that's good, then go to your iPhone setting, and open up your blue tooth setting. make sure you're not connect to something else. I have the nav unit and it will sometimes give me a message that I can't connect to more than one device. When that happens I disconnect the gps blue tooth link. If anything shows "connected" hit the info icon on the far and select disconnect.

i would suggest that you have the power on and put it in the auxiliary mode. When it's finally working the music will start playing. Sometime you just have to play around with the setting.

Hope I didn't confuse you and good luck. Let us know how you make out.

I'm sure you're doing it right, but let me go over the procedure. You push Eco once and the audio window opens. Then you press the set button 3 times (starts on FM radio) 1st push AM radio, 2d push weather, 3d push auxiliary. (4th push brings you back to FM). If those steps don't get you to the aux window, then maybe before going, call the dealer. Perhaps they can talk you through a process.

Maybe you misread some of the earlier posts. His Set Button does not work.

If he's adjusting the fader and turning speakers on and off, then he's on the wrong screen to be trying to change his radio or switch to iPod, and his Set button isn't going to do anything, anyway.

Ex Winger, just to be clear. You can cycle through the home (speedometer), audio, trip, and preferences screens using the mode button, right? So, it is on the audio screen where the set button does nothing, right? As Snowbelt says, the set button does nothing on the preferences screen, and it does nothing on the trip meter screen.

If you cannot cycle through the FM, AM, Aux (or iPod), and Weather station screens when you are on the audio screen go back to the home screen. Press the set button. Does the trip meter at the bottom change back and forth between Trip A and Trip B as you press the Set button? If it does, then your audio unit most likely is bad. If it does not then the switch unit is probably bad.

The switch unit sends signals to the cluster and audio by using the CAN Bus. If the trip A & B meters switch back and forth that means the switch is sending a digital signal out over the CAN Bus, so it probably is sending the correct signal to the audio unit also. In that case I think the audio unit is not interpreting the digital signal correctly. If the trip A & B meter does not switch back and forth then that would indicate the switch is not sending a digital signal over the CAN Bus. A bad connection inside the switch assembly could be the problem.

Thank,s everyone I was pushing the mode button once to many.I was going to the settings and that's not the screen.Hit mode so the radio station is larger and I can see it then set button then have weather station and Aux.You would think after owning this bike over a year I would know how to use the Audio.Works great now.Thank,s

I assumed you knew how to run it as well and this problem was new.

Glad you got it sorted out. I went through a similar situation, until another forum member I met with helped me sort me out. The users manual isn't always helpful. Enjoy the tunes...

It's kind of nice of know we have heard of a new problem, not!

If you have an iPod plugged into the auxiliary port with the iPod connector cable your audio screen will show iPod, not aux. Whichever audio input is active is the one that shows up first when you go to the audio screen.

Not knowing it all is OK. It was three years before I found out that pushing the Set button on the main screen switched between Trip A and Trip B!
