• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Audio issues?

I think I need some help with my audio. I have a 2013 RT SE5 and when I turn the volume all the way up from the normal screen it shows the volume "bar" indicator is being all the way up, but then when I press the mode button and it goes to the auxiliary input screen (which is how I listen to my music through my phone) it shows another volume bar which is only one third of the way up. I can raise this volume bar all the way up, but when I exit and cycle through the screens back to the auxiliary input one it shows the volume as being at one third again. I don't understand what this different volume in the auxiliary screen is used for, or if it even affects the main volume on the main screen. I checked and I do not have the auto volume adjust turned on. Speaking of the auto volume adjust, I'm not sure how it even works. I've tried setting it to low, medium, and high and haven't noticed any affects when speeding up or slowing down. Am I doing something wrong? I suppose in general I have no clue how these things work and looking in the manual did not help, and I found nothing by searching here on the forum. Thanks for any help in advance!

Let me see if I can explain this better with pics.

I turn the volume up all the way to one click from the top, seen here:

Then I press the MODE button and I see this:

So then I raise THAT volume bar up to this:

And then I cycle through each screen using the MODE button back to the AUX screen and it's back to this again:

What's this all about?

from what I know about the AUX is that you set the volume on the phone/ device and on the bike separately. I use the medium setting on the speed setting & it works great.

I would think the volume level would change in the AUX position because the strength of the signal to the amp is different. Use the volume level on your phone and then fine tune with the volume control on the screen.

Try turning the volume up on the device that you've got plugged in...
It couldn't hurt to see if it makes a difference!

I have the volume on my device turned all the way up. I also tried more than one device and it made no difference with any device I'm using. The results of the same. I'm stumped!

Does the volume actually change, or just the indication? That much actual change should be obvious. If the actual volume keeps reverting to the lower setting, you should reporrt the problem to your dealer so they can discuss it with BRP tech support.

The change with speed is subtle when using just speakers, and may not really be that audible depending on helmet, speed, use of earplugs, etc. It is quite obvious when using a comm system, however...at leats mine which I tapped into the rear speakers. Basically it increases the volume as your speed rises...low raising it just a bit, and high quite a lot. Listen closely and I think you will be able to tell...especially if you play the same music each time with an iPod.
