• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Audible "Dong Dong" in head set

I am a new Spyder owner 2015 RT Limited with CB and XM Radio. I use a headset for listening and sometimes when starting out I get an audible "dong, dong" in my headset. Can find nothing to identify this. There are no indications of a failure on the dash readout. I also get a vibration felt strongly in the floorboards around 70 to 74 mph. Also, felt at that speed when climbing a hill. Is this possibly from the drive belt? I find gas mileage around middle 30's. Normal? Installed the La Monster stone guard and find it chaffs on the tire. Any input will be appreciated.

:welcome: The 70 to 74 mph vibration is normal for these bikes. As you surmised; it is the belt.
For the rest of your questions; I've got nothing

But I still wanted to welcome you aboard! :2thumbs:

I don't have an answer for you, and I was going to make some crack about the "ding-dong" in your head, but you're new and I don't know you very well. Later.

The dong dong could just be the notification that your helmet is connected to your CB or your wife is beating you on the back of your head.

Can't help for real, but was thinking it had something to do with the dongle.

Sorry. Hope you get your question answered though.

Dong Dong

I have a 2015 RT Limited and I get the DONG all the time and it is the Garmin warning me of something. If you look at the very top of the garmin screen or in the top right hand corner of the screen, there will be a flashing red area giving you what the warning is, ie, school zone, construction zone or whatever it is.:2thumbs:

 This must be something that the 590 does; I don't recall hearing or seeing any warnings on my 660...

Little checking..!!

Welcome to the site.. the chime may indicat the set is activated. Most comm systems do that as a sign on tone...the stone guard needs to be positioned just right to avoid hitting the tire. Though not your model I did have to grind a bit to get it on just right. All of the above on the vibrations..I zip past them and hover above or below that speed...

It may be the GPS warning you of something such as a red light camera or a speed camera. That is what my Garmin 660 does. Look down at the GPS next time you hear it and see if that is what it is. You didn't mention a GPS, but I think they are included with a Limited.
