• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Associate Press Release - Traction Control

We, ie Spyder owners, are ahead of the game.
The authorities here are talking about making ABS brakes compulsory on all bikes.

France makes everyone wear hi viz vests.

We have to wear helmets and are fined if it's not done up properly. Fines also for tinted visors or helmet cameras, tho these are being appealed thru the courts with some success. Oh I so wish we were allowed to have bright coloured lights shining under the bikes like you can - looks great and people might 'see' us more. . It's fun (?) keeping up with all the rules and regulations...

Guess I'm complient, maybe.

I love my Spyder RT. This is our 4th trike. Yes I've moved from black leather all my life to hi viz.

BoilerAnimal & RTL, There's an increasing body of research from respected institutions showing that Hi-Vis gear isn't necessarily all that helpful for increasing other motorists awareness of motorcyclists or Spyder Ryders presence; a lot of that research goes on to suggest that the wearer might even be increasing their risk of collision thru them getting a false sense of security just by wearing the bright gear!! :opps:

I guess it all comes down to ryding just as if everyone else out there really IS out to get you; & even with all the added lights &/or Hi-Vis gear or whatever else you might choose to try & make you more visible, at least some other road users just won't see you regardless of what you are wearing or have done to your Spyder!! Or at least that's what they'll claim after they've hit you!!!
