• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Armed Forces Day!

As a retired Navy guy I want to send my best to all the active duty and reserve personnel around the world. And a hardy well done and thank you very much for the sacrifices you/they make to keep this country the best in the world.

HOOAH, Troops! A special Thank You to the men and Women who stepped up, served the nation, did their part. Less than 7% of all Americans did so, yet made the largest impact of any group. Freedom isn’t free; it’s paid in blood. Thank you!

As far as I'm concerned, if you enlisted in ANY branch of the service (to include the Reserves and Nat'l Guard) and came out withOUT a dishonorable discharge, you are a hero. Everyone who enlists knows there's the possibility of combat. I did my time in the Army (because it's the BEST branch) but I don't care who you served with, where you served or what you did, your service made a difference.

U.S. Army

.
Thanks you to all who served and all those who supported our service members. Mom was an Army nurse and Dad was a Coastie . All before my time but I enlisted in'67 in the U.S. Army.

My best to all you DD214 holders and those working toward getting theirs. Old Navy here. How old? I served on the USS Ticonderoga, CVA14. That's old.
P.S. You won't find me listed in the ship's crew as I was a communicator for the Flag.

The jungle still speaks and every ride and adventure is with the memory of those who never had my opportunities in life and for those who grieved their loss. Thanks to all who have served or otherwise contributed. We’re all on the same team.

Thank you all brothers and sisters in arms.joined 71after graduation, and would still defend this beautiful free land of ours today. God bless you all

Thank you to all who served in uniform.

I'm proud to have played a civilian role with the Army as a Quality Assurance Engineer supporting the manufacturing of conventional munitions used by all the services. The thing we feared most was having duds get distributed in the supply of the Navy's 50mm saluting rounds! :gaah:

Eight years (and a day) USN, 10 deterrent patrols, two and a half years submerged. Nuclear Machinist Mate. Marked me for life, but mostly for the good. Thanks to those who served, and those who kept things together at home waiting for our return.

Best wishes to all who served or are serving in the Brotherhood of Arms, the best and most respected brotherhood in our beloved country. God bless America!

DD214 or NGB-22;)

My first discharge DD214, second was NGB-22.

Second generation here but grandson who is currently serving is the fourth generation. WWII to the present except Korea. Thanks to all my brothers and sisters. We have Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines covered by this family.

Okay I'll bite. What's that?

My first discharge was from the Navy and I received a DD214. I retired from the ANG, which issues the equivalent (all the exact same info) and is called NGB-22. The ANG likes to use their own form numbers.
