• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. It's not far from where I live - a lot of motorcycle riders do that trip across the ferry. Very nice and scenic, beautiful country.

Should be a crossing like this one. You may need to allow a little extra time for your trip, because if you hit there at the wrong time you will be waiting for awhile.

125 is great road and the ferry is fine. If you don't catch it right you may have to wait 20 to 30 minutes at the most. The one thing you have to watch out for on a GPS is it will try to take you up some county road that is for the most part gravel if you are comming up from around Harrison. I thought I saw somewhere that you wer coming up 7 from down south. That road is a blast too! When you get around Jasper it is twisty for sure.

I believe its called Peels ferry. Read an article about it in Ride Texas magazine about a year and a half ago. Sounded pretty neat.

I called up there the other day because that is the way we are planning on going if the weather permits on Weds. 24. They said there is no charge, you might have to wait a little bit. Maybe Florida will meet Texas on the river .

It's called Peel's Ferry because it's near the town of Peel. I live in a town called Flippin which is right between Yellville and Gassville.

My plan...I think....subject to change...is to catch Hwy 7 near ElDoado...continue until south of Harrison and cut east to Hwy 125 and into Missouri....I have an arrival date of Tuesday, April 23.....thanks for all the replys

FB, for what it's worth, you would be just as well off, or maybe better, if you take hwy. 7 thru Harrison and on to Lead Hill then hang a right when you come to hwy. 14 and then a left onto hwy 125. It is a nice ride and the roads are a heck of a lot better. I grew up around Harrison and lived just north of town on hwy. 7.
