Arizona/California Spyder Ride to Laughlin

Fellow Spyder Lovers,

My wife and I are planning to ride to Laughlin on Friday October 10, then a day trip to Oatman on Saturday, then back home on Sunday.

It would be awesome if we could have 50 Spyders in Oatman on Saturday. If you have never been there, it's a pretty kewl place to hang out for an afternoon. It's on old western ghost town on route 66 turned tourist trap with donkeys roaming the streets looking for food handouts.

I will be riding from Prescott, up to the 40, then route 66 the whole way to Kingman. If anyone wants to hook up for the ride there and back, that's great but I am not necessarily looking to have a big group ride going there or back.

The big get together will be in Laughlin Saturday morning, and then the ride to Oatman, we could continue down to lake Havasu possibly after Oatman, that is a really sweet ride also. Time and place will be a casino parking lot, details TBD. I just wanted to get the word out now so folks can start planning!

The Saturday Morning meet will be at 9:00 AM in the Colorodo Belle Parking Lot!

Let's see some CA and NV Spyder Riders, and anyone else from further away!!! The weather is perfect this time of year and the ride to Oatman on Route 66 and down to Havasu is really sweet!

Dang!

Can't make it, but this is a ride that would be right up my ally. Especially since I should have my Spyder back from the shop right about then

I know you gave a lot of notice, but for me, I need even more notice. I don't have a set schedule, so I need a good 2-3 weeks lead time. I do understand most people don't plan their lives that far in advance, but most people (not me) work M-F and 9-5, too...

Have a great time, take lots of pictures and tell us all about it when you get back!!

We are planning to meet in the Colorado Belle parking lot at 9:00 AM Saturday. So far only a few tentatives...so spread the word and LETS RIDE!!!

My wife and I would love to go with a little more notice. We just got back from Las Vegas BikeFest and have to head to New York on Thursday. Keep us informed if you do this trip again. I know they are having an event in November. Not sure of the dates.

Sorry you can't make this one. Next one I will post in the new AZ section Lamont set up. The riding weather is perfect now!! I am not too good at planning very far in advance. Since you are in Phoenix, I am sure we will hook up for a ride soon.
