• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Are highway pegs worth the expense?

I, too, have a set...

I just ordered a set of the Rivcos today and a set of their pegs.

that I bought last fall at Spyders in the Smokeys.

I wasn't sure I was going to like them, but, I'm now a believer! If you do a lot of highway miles, like me, then they're a necessity. You really can sit back and enjoy the ride. And after you get used to them, they're very comfortable. What I like most about them is they keep your feet close in so you're not riding spread eagled.

We should have bought the Highway Pegs

Thank you to all who responded to my post. We just rode 8 days on the bike and regret not buying the highway pegs before the trip. Hubby is planning to purchase and install very soon.

Anything you buy for your ride will be worth it over time. As far as the hi-way pegs, if he likes the position of his feet, then buy them. Where he puts them now is not designed for the added weight and they will fail.

RIVCO, a sight sponsor, has a nice pair that keeps your feet in a little closer to the bike. Well worth the money!

Thank you SO MUCH for recommending our product and I am glad you enjoyed them!!

Here's what works for me.

Lamont and Jacob at Lamonster Garage installed a set on our new RT last week. I'm very glad I got them. They work great and I think they look great too!

Can always sell

:agree: But with any extra ,you wont know till you try your way:thumbup:. Think it would be good fit if he already props feet up. :yikes: Caution there tho. One stray rock stuck in bottom of boot or shoe tread & could be costly & ugly scratch!nojoke The highway pegs also offer better safty position ( designed to not be akward to quickly reach brake. Food for thought.

What did you use for that extension? I'm guessing this is the Lamonster pegs?

Pam

Lamonster brackets, and Kuryakyn pegs off my Harley. Spacers and bolts were bought from outside source and went 1-1/2 inch longer on the spacer and 1-3/4 on the bolt. They are adjustable forward or closer to driver if needed.
