• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Are all iPods compatible with the 2014 RT?

While you're riding you do a long press, either left or right, to change to preceding/next album or playlist. That is if you haven't turn off the key and then back on. In that case the long press takes you to the last or first album or playlist in the entire library. This is a bug in the software BRP is aware of but doesn't want to bother to fix.

For some reason this does not always work for me. But if you do a long press. The song will cut out for a split second. Release and then do a quick press it will change songs and the playlist.

AAAH waswinger spoiled it. I guess I should have made it clear it was a hint not a step by step.

Now you're going to have to learn how to change playlists on the go.

As long as I've got some Heavy Metal playing; I'm happy enough to wait until I get stopped!
I'd hate to have to try to explain the procedure to a Police Officer, after having an accident!

Actually it brings up a song list. You select the song, then do cursor right again.

That does not work for me either! A long press puts it in random song playing "shuffle" mode.
Must be some differences in iPods or something.

If you have the iPod in playlist mode, then the first long press after starting the bike takes you to the first item in the playlist, which must be All Songs if you have an All Songs playlist. That is a random playback sequence. I have my iPod in album mode so the first long press of the right or left button takes me to the first or last album in the list. After the first long press subsequent presses will step you up or down (right or left button) through the playlist list or album list.

If you select a playlist or album via the screens, then a long press takes you the next, or previous, one in the list. But any time you kill the engine upon restart the first long press takes you back to first/last album or playlist. This is the s/w bug in the cluster that BRP has no plans to fix.
