• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Are all iPods compatible with the 2014 RT?

No...
But there's a list of which ones are in your manual.
I don't even know which one I have... It's about the size of a Saltine cracker, and has 8 megabytes of capacity. It works perfectly. :D

I would say the manual comes up short for all the compatible IPod versions that work.

We got a new IPod Nano 7th gen with the Apple adapter and it works better than I can remember how to hit the buttons on the left grip.

IPod for us was a very solid and worthwhile add on.

:agree: IF... I could only get it to change playlists for me!
I STILL haven't been able to "crack that nut"... :banghead:
But I'm getting closer, with each attempt!

Now; it'll show my playlists; I've just got to figure out how to choose one, get it to accept that command, and then get back to a "normal" display...

Changing playlists in motion or when stopped?

Are all iPods compatible with the 2014 th se6,thanks Dave
You buy IPOD 4 it work fine ,ipod nano work but new plug in like iphone 5 ,6 or new ipod 5 ,you have to buy adaptor to make it work, down load all the song from itunes to ipod ,you can control forward, backward any song you want while you ride or stop . I bought my ipod 4 with 64GH and put over thousand song in there

 most definitely stopped...
I can barely BREATHE and tinker with the system; much less try to ride the bike! :yikes:

Bob, what I have learned is that it is a timing thing. Some things require a short push of the button while others require a long push of the button and others still sometimes need a push and hold.

I get PO'd at it also, for a while I thought the IPod simply just loved Alan Jackson.

Honestly, if they put that Spyder left grip into an aircraft, the pilot would never get a missile launched...

I can bring up the playlists, artists and albums...
I can move the cursor to the right, and then up and down...:thumbup:

Ok you're trying to change playlists while stopped. Once you have picked what you want move the cursor to the right.

 You just move it, "Off the Page"?? :dontknow:

That almost seems too easy! :D I'll give that a try this afternoon...

...AFTER the big unveiling at Sturgis!

Actually it brings up a song list. You select the song, then do cursor right again.

While you're riding you do a long press, either left or right, to change to preceding/next album or playlist. That is if you haven't turn off the key and then back on. In that case the long press takes you to the last or first album or playlist in the entire library. This is a bug in the software BRP is aware of but doesn't want to bother to fix.

AAAH waswinger spoiled it. I guess I should have made it clear it was a hint not a step by step.

Now you're going to have to learn how to change playlists on the go.
