There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Are 2-Wheel Motorcycles welcome in Durango?

I totally agree. This is an event that BRP puts on to show their appreciation to those who've already bought, not those who may buy. I don't know of any other manufacturer that does this, but I appreciate what they are doing. There are plenty of other opportunities to invite everyone to come, but this single annual event is for owners only. I, for one, like it just the way it is.

I half agree with you...... certainly it IS an owners event.. put on for US-- and we should have our own separate dinner and fun,etc... ..... but considering it is 3 days long... they certainly could have an 'open time' one of the afternoons for visitors, to check the bikes out, etc..... No need to feed em' or anything.....

I'll be coming into town with 3 HD buddies on our way back home from the Grand Canyon.... and I'm sure they'd like to see what all the fuss is about. Suppose I can register one of them as a guest and then just have them walk around like conjoined triplets.... :roflblack:

What about the spouse on two wheels? they leave the two wheels at the hotel?

Last year they allowed GUESTS into the fairgrounds on 2 wheelers.... I remember many of them parked away from the Spyders... pretty sure there were a dozen or so.....would have to check my photos....

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I informed the club in Arizona about the guest policy. I figure there's nothing stopping them if they want to come on the local rides with us. From the rough agenda on the website, it appears a lot of our time will be spent exploring the area outside the fairgrounds anyway.

That's right. Each guest had to be registered to enter. I'm not sure if they were allowed inside Friday, before they got their credentials. One guest could be registered (preregistered?) per owner.

You won't be turned away, the requirement is you are an owner & you can invite a guest., You can drive a cage there or fly in or ride your motorcycle or tow your spyder, or even hike in  But Dan why aren't you riding the RT?

Don't worry, you'll see the Spyder at Spyderfest. You are coming, right? We had planned a trip to Colorado long before BRP announced the owner's event. Our plans, including an extended trip through the state, includes some dirt road excursions that wouldn't be suitable for the Spyder. So we'll be bringing a 2 wheel dual sport bike big enough for the two of us. I do prefer the Spyder for 2-up riding but it won't work for what we have planned.

I think BRP or somebody "up there" should let us know in advance what the rules are.
As I remember Maggie Valley, you had to have a "id" to get into the event grounds. I do not think the dinner was cheap for BRP. That could kill the owners event by itself.

In my olden days a roadster was a coupe with a rumble seat. Great way to go. Arthur---Mexico City

The Spyder is a Motorcycle by definition and most state laws. People would be in dire need of counsuling if they think it's not.
:banghead:

If you listened to everything BRP told you, we would spend alot of money on unnecessary 12k mile valve adjustments and think limp mode is a good thing. :roflblack:

If I remember correctly, the first day they let only Spyders park and register (no cages). After that you had to show your registration to enter.

A biker should be judged by being a biker not does his bike 2 wheels or 3
just my 2 cents
That is true without a doubt, but an event designed just for registered owners of a certain brand or mark, is within its rights to be limited to qualifying owners or machines if it so chooses.

As stated here before, owners with spouses on two wheels are welcome and they even let some two wheelers in the Maggie Valley event that were not with owners. I think a lot of what's going on will be on the streets so that for sure will be open to all.

The even is for Spyder Owners and if it was a Spyder event like it is in Daytona or Sturgis it would be different. This is a way for BRP to show it's support of the current owners. :doorag:
