You are very right Lamont. This site has been a hugh part of my spyder ownership and part of the whole experience.
I will do my best to continue to be part of this "family" and keep a positive and upbeat attitude and outlook. Thanks for reminding me of what we are all about.

For what it's worth, here are some thoughts:
1. If someone notices an issue with their Spyder, state it with any related concerns. This gives the rest of us a "Heads Up".
2. If you have a question or ask for opinions, expect some back. I have noticed that too many times someone posts an opinion and is told by someone else, or the poster himself/herself "you're wrong!" An opinion is just that. If you have a different opinion, just state it, don't tell someone else he/she is wrong. Stating so doesn't make you right.
3. If you want to bash BRP or Spyders in general at least OWN a Spyder! If you haven't walked in our shoes you don't know our blisters.
4. Stating that you will get a lawyer, etc., to go after BRP, your dealer, etc., should be kept private.
5. After posting an issue keep us current on the outcome. That is constructive for anyone else who may need your experience in dealing with the issue. Constant bashing is not useful.
6. What seems like the 2 major issues, fires and steering, are getting a lot of back and forth hashing and bashing directed towards BRP and/or dealers. Some of the accusations against BRP seem to be riding on the borderline of lawsuits by BRP for false accusations. We have no clue how BRP is handling this, so it's best we just keep our anger to ourselves. Bad dealers are a dime a dozen. If you have a bad dealer, just post and ask anyone for their thoughts on a good dealer in your area.
7. My thoughts in summary: let's try and keep the Forum as a place to meet people, make friends, exchange ideas about our Spyders, help each other to better know our Spyders, and let's put some miles on them.

That's funny, I basically told her the same thing this morning right after she read me her post about Scotty leaving.![]()

To say you shouldn't care or voice your concerns over the steering issue just cause you haven't had yet to me is a unfair statement. I'm afraid I might of been one of those people that caused Scotty to go if that is the case. I agree that overall bashing the spyder is not needed, if you don't like it get rid of it. I did not know voicing your concerns over an issue, whether or not you have exprienced or not, is not wanted. I always thought of this as somewhat of a support group. I believe everyone has done this so I am a bit confused as what is warrented and what is not. I have always just assumed if you didn't like the topic just move on to the next one and don't read it. I don't read every topic, just the ones that I think will interest me. I don't know...just my 2 cents

Good points Black Widow.Continual bashing is not only boring but also counterproductive; However reporting and discussing any issues related to the Spyder both good and bad can be very useful to all who own a spyder. I have learned a lot from reading opinions and reports related to performance and maintenance and I would hate to see that end.nojokeThis forum is truly an asset to the Spyder owner.

Cz, I think you may have misread my post. I don't think I ever said you shouldn't care or voice your concerns. Here is my quote "alarmist beyond their actual issues" I will leave it at that for now, as I don't want to start anything or beating a dead horse.

...Thanks Tom that is funny.....
