• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

anyone seen this bullet b4

Remember the Black Talon?
If the Anti's even think that it MIGHT be used to defeat body armor; this round will be dead before you know it! :gaah:

I think I posted this some months ago.

Can't find that ammo anywhere. In fact, I can't even get 22 ammo. around here.

That is pure, unadulterated evil. Just imagine what that would do to a human being. How sick does someone need to be to design this? On the bright side, at least international law will keep it out of military use and I'm pretty sure most law enforcement agencies would reject it too.

Sorry... I disagree. ;)
That projectile is designed to dump ALL of it's kinetic energy into it's target. This helps to reduce the chance of a "pass-through", and the resuliting damge to persons and property behind the intended target.

My ammo is reusable, yet thousands of years old.

Even though I have taken and passed with flying colours both the Unrestricted and Restricted Firearm safety courses, I still have never bothered to apply for an FAC. What for?

My silent weapons of choice, which are very safe to use are sticks and strings.
Just sharpen the razor shaving sharp tip with a few gentle strokes on the diamond hone...

Does anyone in here ever watch "Arrow"? He's a modern day Robin Hood in a sense.

I'm not sure where you come up with the idea that it will eliminate "pass through", as just about every round did pass through the target.

This reminds me of the wad cutter hollow point .45 ACP round, which was designed to increase the expansion or "mushroom" capability of the round to decrease the chance of pass through, but was by no means a feature in its design.

As for the need for one of these rounds for a shotgun, isn't that why they have .00 buckshot rounds and flechette rounds?

I'm sure law enforcement will embrace this as they are the ones always bitching about being "outgunned" by the criminal element. I can't say I share their point of view, since I don't recall a robber using a APC in the last few years, or showing up with a MP-4 or a Remington Model 70 Sniper rifle, but that may be due to the more liberal reporting style of the St Louis, MO. news stations.

I do believe that since each bullet is machined, it will be hugely expensive for the local police departments to purchase and they may be able to get some surplus ammo from TSA, DEA, SSA, now that they really don't need it.

Seems like a engineering concept that I hope won't see the light of day beyond its current production run for testing purposes. Way to easy to fall in to the wrong hands, legal or criminal...

Since the copper is much lighter than lead; it WILL slow down a lot quicker!
And since it also comes apart; that's more energy shedding in progress... :2thumbs:
It'll hit and stick; with a whole lot fewer pass-throughs...
I don't believe anybody said that it'd eliminate them anyway.

Again I reiterate, Sticks and Strings. Good old bow and arrows.
Or get real crazy with a crossbow and bolts... With a little C 4 taped to the tip... ;-)

Heck a decent slingshot will top your nagging crow on a pole. Or a pesky pigeon from his roost!
