• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone purchased from an out of town dealer? Is this common? Any concerns?

Has anyone purchased from an out of town dealer from their website? Is this common? What should my concerns be? This my first Spyder purchase.

I purchased an end-of-year 2024 Spyder from iMotorsports.com, after reading a few positive remarks on this forum. My first Spyder purchase too, and my experience was a good one. As for what your concerns should be, that sort of depends on what's important to you - for me, it was a matter of just thinking of every question I could think of. The salesperson on the other end of the line (Mike Kaye) was great, as was everyone else I dealt with, and their website and reviews were solid, so I reached a comfort level.

There were a couple of extra elements I had to figure out (wire transfer from my bank to theirs, and an out-of-state title), but they were helpful, and the transaction and DMV business went pretty smoothly. The bike was sort of dirty when it arrived (having been shuffled on and off the enclosed trailer as other bikes were delivered across the country, and there had been some weather too, apparently), but it came fully set up per the full BRP checklist, including alignment, and I found no issues with the bike whatsoever once I cleaned it up.

Anyway, not trying to make an advertisement out of this - no affiliation here - but just to say, I found it a good option for me. Good luck!

I too purchased my RTL Spyder from an out of State Dealer. Long story short, it was a very good experience.
Just remember to do your homework and get all your questions ready.

I will do this again when I am ready.
The wife said that we are good to go.

I second iMotorsports. They were extremely easy to deal with, and had a good selection of "last year's models". In my case, I bought a 2024 model at significant savings over getting a '25 locally. I wanted to go local, and I was willing to pay up to $1.5K extra for that (on some of the '24s they had), but add on fees made the total $$ substantially higher than that!

Very often that's where you get your best deals, if you're willing to travel a little. Because dealers are so spread out, some aren't willing to negotiate, thinking you're a captive audience and won't go anywhere else. If you do your homework, you'll be fine and save a few $$$. Also, if you're thinking of getting the 36-month BRP extended warranty, there's no need to buy it when or where you purchase your Spyder. You can buy it anytime, from any dealer, as long as your original 24-month warranty hasn't expired. Also, there are two dealers that sell it for around $700. And don't be fooled into buying the dealers "maintenance" warranty/contract. Those only benefit them, not you!

Over the years, my wife and I have owned six new Spyders and one used one. Only one was bought at our local dealer. All were negotiated over the phone, and we didn't trade any.

Good luck.

I traded my 2022 F3L in on a 2024 F3L over the phone with a dealer several States away. I drove to it, and after several hours and paperwork, I was headed back home. My first and second Spyder's were done the same way with different out of State dealers, and then too, no issues.

iMotorsports here as well. Shipping of the new bike is normally included in the deal. I believe they also offered a one way flight to pick up personally as well, but I can't guarantee that. The only downside was having to wait for a truck coming this way. I believe it took three to four weeks for the Spyder to arrive. They are up front about that and make no delivery date guarantees.

I have bought 2 Spyders from iMotorsports in Illinois and each time I had a trade in. Also had free shipping on both new Spyders. It was a very smooth transaction and they gave me a fair price on my trade in both times. I would buy from them again. Plus they also have the best price in the extended warranty by BRP.

They told me it could be up to 6 weeks. It took a couple of days over 2 weeks. Very happy with the results.
