• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone know the Part number for LH mirror - 2014 Can-Am Spyder RT SE6?

Bear in mind that ANY mirror for any matching RT Model from MY 2014 thru to 2019 should fit on your Spyder iSilent, so you shouldn't need to be concerned about your Spyder being 10 years old even if your dealer/parts supplier tries to pull that one on you! :rolleyes:

I was driving on a county road when suddenly a pickup truck in front of me departed the right lane to avoid a tree that had fallen into the road. Well, I didn't have enough time to react/avoid it. My right wheel ran over it and the rim broke and also an instant flat. The jolting dislodged the mirror, and it fell on the pavement. That's how the damage. $900 dollars later I have a new rim and tire. Mirror didn't fare so well. :)

The irony of the mirror mishap is I had the magnet set ordered as I have read online this upgrade is the first (and must) that needs to be done - it is arriving today!

Need to look at frame/A-arm trueness. Breaking a rim could be enough force to bend something there

You got lucky! I would watch my tire wear for a while! And maybe get an alignment, to check on the straightness.
 
Got a front-end alignment from my dealer for 'free' (if there really is such a thing). :-)

Actually this was on my spring to-do list because since buying the bike there was quite a bit wobble at higher speeds. No no longer.

At the link you will see there are actually two parts that compose what the observer sees that we could call the Mirror Subassembly. Those two parts actually appear individually in the detailed view of the Right Hand mirror, but are combined in the view of the LH mirror. Neither of these two parts has a separate part number; however, there is a part number label on the broken part that Tony's pictures show. It is the part that appears just above and to the right of item number 16 in the breakout of the RH mirror assembly and is the part holding the mirror, call it the Mirror Base, and it has four snap clips molded into it that snap into the other unnumbered part that we could call the Mirror Mount. That Mirror Mount is the piece with the two heavy wire springs that some owners replace with magic mirror magnets. You cannot purchase either the Mirror Base or the Mirror Mount individually, except through someone selling them second hand. The part number label on the Mirror Base is the whole shebang part number called the Mirror Assembly that has a price of close to $300 per mirror assembly.
