• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone know a good place for Raising handlebars & steering modifications in AZ?

I have a 2014 RSS. I'm looking to raise the steering handle bars. It sounds like I will need to replace the handlebar with something from a RT. I live in Phoenix Arizona. Does anyone know of a shop in this area that would be willing to do a mod like this?

Not familiar with shops or dealers in AZ but you can still get risers to move your oem bars up and or back and many have switched to other bars altogether. As long as the move is not so much that you have to adjust for the electrical /and or hoses it is not to bad a job. There are also videos you can find on youtube and facebook that can help...

Paul,
I have a set of RT bars for you. Pretty easy to swap out. Or, bring it to me in Las Vegas, and I’ll do it. We will be back in town by 15 November. PM me for Details, or call the number below. Joe

Thanks, I may be giving you a call. My wife decided she wants to try the OEM for a while to see if it works. If not I will be contacting you.

Can 2014 RSS SE5 handlebars be replaced with ST bars?

I have a 2014 I just purchased. Will the ST bars from a 2014 work on the 2014 RSS SE5? Has anyone done this?

It IS an old post/thread, but it's asking a related question; and from the earlier/older posts in the thread, there's clearly some alternatives! But without searching further, I can't recall if the bars off an ST will fit an RSS, altho I reckon they should - the 2014 ST & RT bars were pretty similar.

You might want to spend a little more time searching the threads (use Advanced Search) about handlebars from around 2012-2016 to see if there's any definitive answers tj. :dontknow:

Drop me a PM if you need a hand getting Advanced Search or even any of the major search engines to do that for you/search just this site. ;)

A long time ago there were handlebar extensions made specifically for the Spyder .... however I don't think they are made now .... I bought generic extensions for my GS and RSS ... that worked great .... They are for Snow-mobiles, and can be found at ....DENNISKIRK.COM ..... in their snow-mobile catalog ..... If you find them and like them PM me for important buying and mounting instructions ..... good luck .... Mike
