There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Anyone installed the Refined Cycle BPE2 brake pedal extension to reposition the pedal on an RT??

I just bought a 2019 RT Limited. I found that lifting your foot every time you pressed the brake pedal is cumbersome. I read the posts about a Lamonster brake rod extension for the F3. They do not sell one for the RT. Has anyone installed the Refined Cycle BPE2 extension that seems to position the brake pad lower and in front of the footrest? Would that solve my problem?

I have the same problem. I have tried braking with my heel instead of the ball of my foot, and that works well. However, in an emergency situation, I'm not sure that I would have the foresight to use my heel. Perhaps after practicing it for miles and miles I might get used to it. There is a hydraulic handbrake available that can be used in place of the foot brake. In fact, it can be used, or the foot brake can be used. The cost is over $1300, so I would rather find an alternative method of comfortably braking. I realize that this is an old thread, but perhaps someone has come up with some sort of a modification for the foot brake on an RTL?

Try a small block of wood on the inside of your foot plate. In situations where you require multiple brake applications, like in traffic or twisties it takes the stress off. Just rest your heel on it and it totally changes the angle. I have one mounted just with double sticky and it works fine. I also put a rubber tread on it.

If nothing else it is a cheap experiment.

The brake pedal was too high on my 2014 RSS. I have and like pegs. On every other motorcycle I have owned, if I rested my foot on the peg the ball of my foot was just above or right on the brake pedal, so I could brake without repositioning my foot. I made a mock up of the ideal pedal position for me, trial and error to get the right height, then took a used pedal arm and the mock up to a local machine shop to have the used pedal arm modified. It cost a few dollars more than the adjustable Slingmods rod. Not sure if you could do this on an RT.

I also installed the longer pedal pad for both brake and parking brake.
