• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone installed the ISCI Fan Can

Dragonrider

While not a NEED here in the Great NorthWet, it looks like a good concept, and at a great price. Any one installed one? Comments? Would you do it again??

Thanks!

Yep!
Click on SteveMac Mods link in my signature or browse to the mods forum. I have a post about the ISCI fan can install on an RT. I use it in conjunction with Spyderpops Lablock and this combo ELIMINATED hot foot and I have ridden in 100 degree temps with no over heating.

Good luck!

YES... be sure to ask for the correct instructions for the RT (it will make things a lot easier)... it completely eliminates any heat issue on the right side. I've had it on since Maggie Valley in June, through a South Carolina summer, so running hot is not an issue either.

Yes I have one installed but I'm t rying to get them to install a door that you can open when you would like some heat. Like in the Fall or Winter. It can be done with little trouble I'm sure. Bob

Do I detect an old GW rider here?? Those foot warmers were GOLD out here… Doesn't seem to be an issue with the Spyder tho..

Does the discharge from this can blow down or horizontally to the left - if to the left, where does the hot air exit the plastic?

To the left. IMO down would be better tho. Removing lower splash pan allows heat to exit.

:agree:. I live in AZ and the summers are HOT!!! 110+ in the summer. Now I have to figure a way to get rid of the heat that is coming up from the glove box.

I was able to solve the seat/glovebox heat with two strips of Rubber Door Trim. Lined between plastic and front edge of seat...with seat down, never know it's there.

Is this fan adaptable on a 2008 SE5 Spyder? Your comment that it works well while riding in 100º temperatures isn't the answer. Will it keep things cool when being stopped at a stop light, and riding in slow moving heavy traffic? Arthur---Mexico City

Arthur,

I've been to Mexico City.... my entire town is less congested than one city block. So I can't answer your question, sorry

Do you have any pic's of this? The wife is really wanting me to fix this heat issue.

I'll try and post a pic, but honestly after removing the splash panels and installing the Fan Can, I'm not sure you would have a heat issue

I have removed both splash panels and installed the Fan Can and the Le Block. The heat she is still getting is pretty hot, especially in the sumer months here.
