• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

wondering if handle bar with riser is hitting the raised slider?
with stock handle bar at full turn my hands are barely brushing against the raised slider. i am considering a riser and if anyone with same setup have problem with raised handlebar causing interference with steering.

I've got the BRP 1" plus MNM's 3" riser and an F1 (tall) Slider... no problem. I suppose though, if you would cant the risers forward instead of back, they could interfere (but who would do that?:dontknow:).

thanks for the input
i was wondering why 3" riser does not work on se5 or sort of work.
i did see lamont's post where they did install a 3" riser and it works fine when its at 25 degrees. i don't know if that will be an issue for me but i dont like the idea of not being able to utilize the riser any way i want to.

It is the size and shape of the left handlebar control that causes the problems. It just won't clear in most positions.

You can use brp 1" and nmm 3" and you get 4" that is what i and others have done.

I have ordered the 4" Black Anodized NMM riser for my SM5, but I still have not made up my mind on the windshield or exhaust system. I almost order the L CalSci, but decided to wait until the touring BRP comes out. I am also looking for a "smaller" exhaust or duals and the noise won't bother me after after years of Harley touring riding.

Not on the SE5 unless you place the riser at one particul;ar angle. NMN does not offer a 3" riser for the SE as a result of this issue.

I will post more on this when I return home from Daytona.

The "chicken little sky is falling" responce we got from one of the first SE5 owners that he could not make the risers work on his bike is what led us to redesign the SE5 riser block.

At that time our SE5 had not yet come in, and even the switch pack for the left side was on "forever backorder" from the dealer to do our own testing on. So we tried to respond based on this feed back only. :dontknow:

We redesigned a cut out in the left side block based on feedback from this owner and only seeing just a switch pack as the switch pack in before our bike did by several months.

However, after now finally seeing and owning a SE5 and installing so many SE5 and SM5 risers over the last few months, we have found almost every owner has wanted the bars pulled back at least 25 degrees when we set the risers up for them.

We have found that when run with this amount of pull back the 3 inch risers will indeed work quite well on the SE5s after all!

As a matter of fact, the 3 inch risers SE5 will allow the bars to be run with even more pull back than the SM5s as they do not have a clutch master cylinder to limit the amount of pull back.

So, unless you for some reason want to push the bars away from you rather than pull therm towards you, the SE5s can use the 3 inch risers quite well.
