Anyone Have a Fuel Pressure Regulator ?

I have a 08 SM5 and have the HMF exhaust with the 02 mod and stock air filter. What I'm noticeing is like a dead spot when I first hit the gas. Also when she is running in neutral it seems like she is starving for more fuel. Once in a great while she stalls coming to a stop sign when I yank the clutch in, but it is not very often.

So what I'm wondering is, what does a EVO fuel pressure regulator do and will it correct these issues ??? Who has one of these, what were the results and how hard was the install ??? Also Looking for someone who has installed this prior to the juice box.

Should I try this route before I suck it up and shell the $ out for the juice box ??? The search engine was not very cooperative when I was searching for threads on this topic. Thanks :thumbup:

You cannot just add the fuel pressure mod- you MUST add a different intake system like the evo race intake(no longer available) or the kewlmetal.

I have the fuel pressure mod and lately have been running the pressure back down near stock @ 51psi.

While you can gain performance with this mod, it adds gas all the time- so plan on a drop in mpg.

Better option is something like jb pro or power commander where you can set it up so you're only adding gas when you really need it.

I'm still running regular jb. Waiting to see how power commander setup works for Seth.
