• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone have a custom wrapped vinyl spider?

I am thinking of wrapping my 2021 RTL in a Satin Green Chrome vinyl. Although I like the deep marsala red its becoming very popular. I want mine to stand out in the crowd! Anyway I just wanted to see if anyone has wrapped theirs and how it holds up. Also even know the clearcoat on the Spyder is the best ever and never shows a single scratch (did my sarcasm come through there) it would be nice if the vinyl did not show many defects.

I have a graphic wrap on mine that has been on for the last 18 months and it had held up very well. No fading or scratches yet, I do have to wipe of the bugs once and a while.

Would you be willing to share a photo?

I saw a Flat black Ryker that had some of the tupperware covered in Copper Vinyl ..... really popped ... it was shrink wrapped .... I have seen the wrap sold on E-bay .... lots of color choices ..... good luck .... Mike

I began to wrap plain black plastic parts in 3m 2080 carbon fiber.
$230 for 60”x120” roll, heat gun and a lot of patience.

That looks killer! Do you think you have enough material to do the rest of your flat black plastic?
Where did you get your vinyl if you don't mind me asking?

My complete wrap was $400 and I put it on. Took around 5 hours. The trunk lid and fenders were the hardest as they have multiple curves. Wrap my Spyder tase how to videos.

Hey buddy, not sure if you know me and my videos,- MartinTheVlogger - link here
I have my spyder wrapped pretty much - color change and some custom graphics done with additional layer of wrap.
Here are my toughs.
1 = after 3 seasons I will put it down. the yellow color has faded, but that is normal
2 = stone chips will appear in front part and it will get worse, specially if you will apply high pressure cleaning - maybe think about additional later of protective clear wrap on the wrap... i know.. i know
3 = i have some extra details done with black color - lines and some text and some stripes.. hmm, its pain in the ass, as sometimes when you clean the bYke with dry microfiber, it catches those fibers... and peels off a bit, then it "heals" on the sun.

there are definitely benefits and there are disadvantages as everywhere.
What i like is that when I will now remove it, it will be same old spyder and I can do whatever I want. In worst case I can sell it even I will never do it, in original color.
However, there are limits on graphics etc. and I am thinking to do a hydrofoil this winter

in case you want me to do a short video for you and tell you bit more, jut ask me question over here please

I would have enough if I didn’t mess up twice on the bumper...
I kinda gave up on the bumper and went with just accents but may try again.
I still have enough material for cougar head, belt cover and also going to do the handle bar.

Wrap is from metrorestyling, popular vendor and first one to pop up if you google vinyl wrap. They have all other major brand plus their own in house brand and they were honest enough to say go with 3m 2080 for outdoor applications over their in-house brand. I’ve used 3m 1080, previous model to wrap black body parts on my old 09 but 2080 is even better.
Don’t use the eBay crap...

Wow thanks Martin. I do know your videos very well. Your 2 part Honest review BRP CanAm Spyder RT 2020 Limited video was very informative and one of the main reasons I bought one.

Thanks for the info on the wrap. Now that I know The Beast is wrapped I want to wrap mine even more!
