• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone got a picture of factory riser in place?

I suspect a factory riser is keeping me from completing my 4"riser install, but I need a picture or the measurement of the stock riser. If I have a factory 1" or 2" riser, I need a stock riser!

lets try this again ...
this is a pic of my bars brp 1 inch riser 3 inch esi riser ...the brp riser is that pipe under the bars ...

I took the left hand wiring out of the central frame tube and ran it free on the left side. I disconnected the clutch hose and ran it on the left side of the frame tube AND mounted the clutch lever assembly on the opposite side of the riser, and made it fit. Still trying to find extra length on the reverse lockout lever. It's presently hugging the forward valve cover. Haven't yet steered left and right. Many electrical cables disconnected so i don't want to start it. And I had a triple bypass eight weeks ago and can't manhandle it without power steering yet. But I see a faint glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel....

Thanks for the picture!!!:2thumbs: Therein lies my problem! I have the BRP 1" riser! But after a day's work I have managed to finagle the hoses and cables enough to get everything on the bars. But that's WITHOUT any body panels and WITHOUT checking steering clearance!:dontknow:

It's done!

Four inch risers are installed and the factory 1" riser is still in place. I had to do a complete front cowl removal to reroute wires and make them reach. I may end up relocating the reverse lockout to another position on the bike later. It works now, but it's as tight as a piano wire on a hard left turn. I had to leave the rubber boot loose on the backside to get everything to work.
Thanks for all the advice and encouragement.:chat: After five bikes, maybe my wife will actually start riding again:2thumbs: when I can pry her away from her horses.:gaah:
