• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone going to Laconia for BikeWeek? (june 14-22)

It's only two hours north of me and I got the wife's permission! Woohoo!
Never been before.
But since I'm still a newbie, I'm not going to take the Spyder on my first trip. I'll drive up Saturday the 14th for the day. Maybe I'll take the SPyder on Saturday the 21st.

Why... My Alarm has not arrived yet and I'm a bit nervous after reading the thread about the "Nerve of some" sitting on the bike and shaking it without asking.
I'll play it safe to strart.

I went for the day today. Never been before.
I saw TWO spyders; one was driving away from Weirs beach and the other PE#3091 was parked on the Boulevard next to the train tracks. It sure got alot of attention, even without the owner.

I almost bought some replacement pegs, but I compared the prices and the Kurykyn stuff was over priced.

Good day today.

Did you have a good time? I've never been to any biker events either until I spent a few hours at Americade a few weeks back. It was interesting and nice enough that I want to go back and experience more than just a few hours the evening of the last day.

What other pegs did you see there besides Kurys? I bought a set for my highway pegs and I did think they were expensive but, when I got them, they seemed very heavy duty and well made. Much better than the cheap no-name brand that they sell at a local bike shop.

It only took me about 90 minutes to get to Laconia, but it took another 30 minutes to crawl the last few miles due to the heavy traffic to the boulevard. I did not partake in the local drinking. I did try to view most of all the different kinds of bikes and visit the vendor tents.

I saw a vendor that had a lot of cool LED lights. EVen as replacement to regular bulbs. I'll dig up the business card.
Lots of t-shirt vendors. Not many vendors selling pegs or such. I did also buy a fairly cheap nylon black and gray riding jacket that is fairly lightweight. Lots of beer and home brew beer sales.

The one SPyder I saw had a set of floorboards installed along an aluminum right angle bar attached between the Driver and Passenger foot pegs. That and a Givi back trunk bag were the only mods I could see.

I should be getting my Scorpio Alarm in the next few days. Maybe I'll take a day off work and ride up.
